Introducing Og

I've spent the last two books writing about soldiers and cops — people forged by violence, duty, and loss. Og is something different, and honestly, something I've wanted to write for a while.

The premise: a man from the Pleistocene — thawed out, alive, and very much not primitive — wakes up in modern-day Los Angeles. Dr. Willoughby Sherman, the scientist who finds him, expects to study a relic. Instead, he ends up teaching a person how to live in a world he was never meant to see — while that same person quietly teaches him something harder: how much of what we call civilization actually has anything to do with being human.

It's funny in places. Quieter than my other books. Ultimately, it's a story about friendship and belonging, and I loved writing every page of it.

Og is available now as an eBook — you can find it on my Books page.

As for what's next: I'm currently working on my first piece of literary fiction, with more to follow. I'll share updates here as things take shape. Thanks, as always, for reading.
